The nature of pitches in the Ghana Premier League has been a huge topic among football players and fans. But Kotoko’s Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama is hopeful he adapts to the nature of the pitches.
This follows his first start of the season for the Porcupine Warriors, which they won 2-0 against Liberty Professionals on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Gama in his first start for Kotoko, was influential to the team’s attack providing an assist to Kwame Opoku who scored a brace on the day.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, expressed satisfaction in his performance and added his readiness to adapt to the local scene especially the nature of the pitches across league venues.
“I am happy with my performance. This was my first start and I’m pleased but I still have to do more because I have to help the team,
“I played in Brazil and the weather is similar to Ghana.
“The pitches here might give me problems but for me it’s normal.
“If I have to have a good career here, then I have to adapt. I will adapt.”
Fabio Gama will be hoping to replicate his brilliance on Monday against WAFA SC at Sogakope.
