Fans Could Be Prevented From Attending Match Venues- GFA Warns Clubs

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a caution to Clubs that would close down any match venue where the Covid-19 Safety Protocols are not strictly adhered to.

This was made known by the General Secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo during a virtual meeting with the Safety & Security Officers and Representatives of the 18 Premier League Clubs on Wednesday January 20.

The meeting which was to review the Covid-19 Protocols and Operations, was held as a result of  some breaches of the GFA’s Matchday Covid-19 protocols at some match venues.

The Government of Ghana had announced that 25 percent of fans could attend games for their viewing pleasure but subject to a strict adherence of the national Safety Protocols.

However weeks after the announcement, the protocols have not been strictly adhered to, causing worry within the Football Association.

The GFA has however expressed its commitment in supervising the strict adherence of the Safety Protocols.
