GPL: Isaac Mensah Comes To The Rescue Of Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak had to rely on a last minute strike by Isaac Mensah to grab their first 3 points after four games.

Hearts of Oak managed to beat Ebusua Dwarfs by 3-2 on Matchday 15 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It was the ‘Never Say Die’ club’s first win after going a four game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak began the game on high with U-15 coach, Samuel Nii Noe being in the dugout after a torrid week at the club.

Victor Aidoo scored Hearts’ first two goals via a penalty in minute 7 and 19 in the first half.

The Idekey boys responded before the end of the first through midfielder Moro Sumalia.

Dwarfs’ defender Dennis Korsah scored the equalizer in the 77th minute through a penalty.

Isaac Mensah scored in the 90+3 minute to give the Phobia boys a much needed win after coming on for Patrik Razarl in the 74th minute.

Hearts of Oak had the U-15 coach Samuel Nii Noi mann the dugout with Richard Kingson acting as the goalkeeper’s trainer following the mass resignation of their technical staff in the previous day.

Hearts are currently ninth on the league log with 20 points.
