Captain of Major League Soccer, MLS side, Columbus Crew Jonathan Mensah is not ruling out a possible return to Europe before he calls it time on his career.
The Ghanaian international has enjoyed a successful career so far in the MLS, leading his side to win the 2020 MLS Cup and also being named in the MLS team of the year in his fourth bvb season.
The former Udinese defender in an interview with Planet Football Africa gave the hint of a possibly returning to Europe saying:
“Never say never.
“What will get your name out there is if you keep putting in good performances week in and week out for your team”
“This league has been tagged a retirement league but it has attracted big superstars in the likes of Zlatan, Frank Lampard, Rooney among others.”
“That tells you how competitive this league is and it’s getting even better and better.”
The former Ashanti Gold defender also played for Granada in the Spanish La Liga.
