    Abalora’s Enviable Record In The Ghana Premier League (GPL)

    Razak Abalora, Asante Kotoko’s number one goalkeeper is one of the key players in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) has kept an enviable record in the competition.

     Abalora, who joined Kotoko from Azam FC of Tanzania, and currently commands the number one position for the club has so far played 17 matches of the 22 league matches played.

     In all, he had conceded seven goals, but kept 11 clean sheets, and picked the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award once.

     The former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) goalie is the only goalie in the GPL with four consecutive clean sheets.

     He kept it clean in matches 11, 12, 13, and 14.

     Despite his occasional haulers, Abalora remains the most preferred choice for Portuguese Coach Mariano Barreto and is the number two after Richard Ofori in the senior national team the Black Stars.
