Amartey Arrives In Ghana For World Cup Qualifiers

Leicester City and Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey has arrived in Ghana ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Amartey, arrived on Monday and is expected to join the team at training on Tuesday, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

His arrivals comes in the wake of the English Premier League (EPL) clubs decision not to release players for the qualifiers amidst restrictions over COVID-19 pandemic.

Players are expected to undergo a ten-day mandatory quarantine after return to England and this means they could miss more matches.

However, there seem to be some form of agreement and appeals hence the arrival of the player.

Already in camp are Andre Ayew and Mubarak Wakaso.

The Stars will play Ethiopia on Friday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
