Done Deal! Amankona Joins Asante Kotoko

    Ghana Premier League (GPL) giants Asante Kotoko has announced the capture of striker Stephen Amankona ahead of the start of the 2021/22 league season.

    Amankona, who is one of the key goal poachers in the league, signed a 3-year contract with Kotoko, following a successful negotiation with his club Berekum Chelsea.

    It is reported that the Amankona is worth a transfer fee of GHC 1.5 billion.

    He is expected to improve the attacking force of the Porcupine Warriors who had their top scorer net only 9 goals in the last campaign.

    Amankona is joining the club in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a pre-season training.
