The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of King Faisal, Anwar Sadat has revealed that the club is not willing to let go of their talisman, Kwame Preprah.
The transfer window for the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to end today, Thursday at 11:59 PM as teams seek to make their final preparations for the second round.
Amongst the players who are desperately being courted is King Faisal’s top striker Kwame Preprah.
King Faisal according to reports had received letters from Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC expressing their interest in Kwame Preprah.
Amongst these three clubs, Sportsnetgh understands Kotoko was the most likely club to have sealed the day.
However, Anwar Sadat who is CEO of the club has revealed that the club is not letting go of their top scorer [Kwame Preprah] with 9 goals.
According to him, their current standing on the league log would not permit them to let the player go as they hope to survive in the Ghana Premier League.
He however posited that the club will only sell next season if they survive in the Ghana Premier League.
“We took the decision as a club last night not to release Kwame Peprah to any other club considering our position on the league log and our target of surviving relegation.
“We have officially written to all the clubs that approached us for his services that the player is not for sale now however we will be ready to open negotiations after the end of the season.
“For now Kwame Peprah is not for sale to any club,the motive is for us to retain in the premiership,” he told GYE NYAME 94.5MHZ in Kumasi.
King Faisal are currently 16th on the league log with 17 points
