Burkina Faso managed to secure a 3-1 win over Zimbabwe to keep their group stage qualification hopes alive in the ongoing Total Africa Nations Championship.
Goals from I.Sosso, C.Tiendrebeogo and I.Ouédraogo ensured Burkina Faso gave a last fight for a chance to qualify to next round of the competition after their defeat to Mali in their group A opener.
The match-up between Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe began on an exciting note with Sosso scoring in the 14th minute to give Burkina Faso the lead.
Zimbabwe on the other hand after several attempts at goal pulled parity in the 23rd minute through Jaure.
Both teams went into recess with a 1-1 draw.
Burkina Faso after recess scored in the 53rd and 67th minute respectively through Tiendreogo and Ouédraogo to hand them the needed victory and three points.
S.Zerbo’s side are now a win away from sealing a qualification as they face nation Cameroon in the last group fixture while Zimbabwe face Mali.
