Veteran football administrator, Cujoe Fianoo, had been re-elected as the Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) for the next four year following elections held on Thursday in Accra.
The former AshantiGold CEO garnered 71 votes as against his competitor, Isaac Koomson who pulled 41 votes.
Fianoo will be assisted by John Ansah who won the Vice Chairman position with 66 votes beating off the incumbent, Alex Akumey who had 47 votes.
Both Edmund Ackah and George Ofosuahene will also serve as the Ghana Premier League representatives at GHALCA. Ackah pulled 91 votes with Ofosuahene’s 64 votes. Nana Amankwah lost out with 53 votes.
Division One will be represented by Eugene Nobel while Division Two will have Emmanuel Opoku Abrokwah as its representative.
The CEO of Liberty Professionals, Linda Ansong will be the only female in the new elected executives of GHALCA amassing the second highest votes during the elections.
She garnered 90 votes and will serve as the Association’s new Treasurer beating off Justice Boison who had 23 votes.
The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) is the welfare body of football clubs in the country.
