Like the saying goes, ‘it takes one to know one’, a Ghana Premier League expert says Kotoko’s Fabio Gama is a good footballer.
Kotoko’s Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama exhibited brilliant football artistry in their 2-0 win over Liberty Professional on Monday and also provided an assist to Kotoko’s second goal scored by Kwame Opoku.
His performance got many talking and was later nicknamed by the club as ‘El Carpentano’ which simply means – the fixer.
Amongst those singing high praises of Gama is Premier League expert, Bernard Don Bortey.
Don Bortey who is also nicknamed ‘serial killer’ for his brilliance on the pitch is of the opinion that, Gama is a “solid footballer”.
Bortey in an interview with Accra based radio outlet Hot FM, likened Gama to his former Hearts of Oak teammate Emmanuel Osei Kuffour, also known as ‘The General’.
“Look the guy called Fabio Gama is a solid footballer, I watched him against Liberty proff, his anticipations and passes are super, He just plays like Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor of our time”
Bortey played for Accra Hearts of Oak from 2001 – 2010 winning many laurels notably including the CAF Confederation Cup in 2004.
