The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Great Olympics, Oluboi Commodore has explained the reasoning behind the appointment of Yaw Preko as Head coach in replacement of Annor Walker.
The Ghana Premier League based outfit earlier on Tuesday announced the appointment of former Hearts of Oak trainer as their new head coach.
Though Annor Walker who began the season with the Wonder Club, has been reported ill and have subsequently missed their two games which has all ended in losses, there were questions on the rationale of naming a new coach as you await the recovery of the head coach.
However, few hours after the announcement, the CEO of the club explained that the club needed a stop gap measure due to the nature of the illness of Annor Walker.
Speaking to Accra based radio station, Atinka FM on Atinka Total Sports, Oluboi revealed that Annor Walker has been placed under oxygen at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Ridge Hospital.
Now, according to him, Godwin Attram is also to assist Yaw Preko as the Annor Walker’s assistant is also suffering from mild stroke.
Great Olympics will play as visitors to Inter Allies on matchday 9 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
