AFCON 2021: Ghana In A Tricky Group

    The Black Stars of Ghana will begin the quest to end their 38-year trophy drought in Group C of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Cameroon.

    The Black Stars who were in Pot 2 of the draw have been paired with Morocco, Comoros Islands, and Gabon.

    The draw which took place at Palas De Congress Hotel in Yaounde on Tuesday, 17 August 2021 saw 24 participating teams divided into six groups of four.

    The Black Stars who have the trophy four times came close to ending the long trophy drought in Angola back in 2010 having lost to Egypt in the finals and also in Equatorial Guinea (2015) as the Stars lost to Ivory Coast on penalties.
